28th July / Japanese Theme party – Kamigawa block party

There is planned event on 28th of July to play magic and other boardgames with Japanese theme. 

The event will take place in Ohmu Sushi Reikenstraat 8, Den Hague starting on 28th of July at 17:00. 

We are going to have a dedicated Sushi chef to prepare us dinner with sake or matcha tea and you can put on your kimono or ninja outfit for extra coolness. Be free to bring anything to that suits the theme. 

Every time Nunjitsu is ability is used, the player gets a free shot of sake.

Commander 

Build up a commander deck where the commander is one the kamigawa block, Neon Dynasty cards. Any samurai, Ninja or whatever Japanese feel card works. 

Have fun seeing who will have the best karate kicks with the decks. 

Of course if you don’t have time or interest to build a new deck. Just being your deck that you are interested and have fun.

Price: If you like to do little competition, we can always come up with something nice to look forward to. Otherwise just enjoy playing and eating sushi.

Draft

I will be organizing a mixed cube and booster draft of Kamigawa block from 2004 and Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.

This draft consists of 4 rounds. So players have more cards to choose for their decks.

The rounds are as following:

( CHK ) Champions of Kamigawa

( BOK ) Betrayal of Kamigawa

( SOK ) Saviours of Kamigawa

( NEO ) Kamigawa: Neon dynasty

Round: 8 CHK cube boosters

Round: 4 CHK, 2 BOK and 2 SOK cube boosters.

Round: 4 BOK and 4 SOK cube boosters

8 NEO boosters

All the cube singles are non-foil and 2nd hand and used with Good condition or above. There are some cards that are not in English and around 10 cards are 5 euros worth or above. 

The cube cards are randomly picked using following formula:

2 rares, 4 uncommon, 9 commons where each color is present at least once. 

Normal boosters have only 1 rare and 3 uncommons.

Prize pot:

Winner will get 1 x Champions of Kamigawa booster ( 22€ ). 

And other random gifts, boosters, singles etc….

Drafter can choose: 

Who ever picks the valuable cards during drafting will keep them

The top 10 most valuable cards are given to the prize pot.

Players that provide singles to price pot will participate price pot. Value 5 – 10€.

Cost to enter:

Unfortunately the nature of getting cube singles is not profitable because delivery costs are added on the card purchase values and the fact that all cards needed to be purchased as I could not find anyone with Kamigawa block cards around.

The entry fee is: 22 euros. 

This includes: 3 cube draft boosters, 1 Neon Dynasty draft booster each, and 1 shared Champions of Kamigawa booster 22€ for winpot.

Please note: 

These events at Ohmu Sushi are purely communal and friendly space to gather to play and spend time together. 

As I am organizing these drafts and events, I, or anyone else, is not making any profit with the game evenings. Drafters pay exactly for the total purchase including delivery rounded up to a euro. 

The restaurant is free to use and it is not expected that people to consume any food or drinks. If you want buy drinks from the restaurant, you also support the restaurant. 

There are usually food and snacks organized and you can bring your own food and drinks.
