Build your own chaos cube boosters draft

It’s Byoccbd time!!!!!

Location in Den Haag. Most likely in Spellenhuis with Entryfee 6 euros

Make 3 draftable boosters from cards from your own collection! And draft with friend with mysterious packs full of chaos surprises!

Choose freely/randomly 45 cards from your collection and build three 15 cards custom boosters.

The booster is reserved with following slots for each rarity:

• Slots 1 Mythic/Bomb ( Total 3 )

• Slots 2-3 Rare/Mythic ( Total 6 )

• Slots 4-9 Uncommon ( Total 18 )

• Slots 10-15 Commons ( Total 18 )

• At least 1 non-basic land ( Total 3 )

Separate the booster from each other and hide the cards in an envelope or deck box 

The budget for all 45 cards is around 20€. If you exceed the budget you might consider Phantom a card or 2.

Gameplay

Drafting is done normally with the exception of who will get which boosters. The boosters that are going to be opened by the player are received from the player of the opposite pass direction.

This will ensure that the player who made the booster will get the booster last. 

Tips and ideas for booster build:

• Use Moxfield or Excel or any other tools to help with the pics and varieties.

• Have at least 5 of each color. 

• Have at least 3 multicolor and colorless

• Don’t add cards that heavily rely on other card abilities and interactions or other features that reside only in certain sets or cards.

• Have at least 20 creatures, at least 3 legendary

• Use multiple sets. Why not secret lair cards, banned or other not common to see normally in draft.

• Remember to put all types of cards: Creatures, Instant, sorcery, artifacts, enchantments, lands….

• Mind the power levels. Add cards that are attractive and add interest into the gameplay.

• Don’t think too much about what to add. You can make a random stack by rarity of potentially good cards. Add the cards randomly. If something that doesn’t fit ended up in the pool, choose again

• Place each 15 card boosters in a separate pile in an envelope or similar place

• Preferably do not use proxies

• If you have a card that you wanna see in action but don’t wanna give away or it’s too pricy, place it in a perfect fit sleeve and mark it and Collect it after the game.

• Budget: Around 20 euros worth of cards. 

• How do can you check the value of your cards? 

• Import the cards into Moxfied deck and you will see the total amount in Euros if you hover over the total price number on the bottom of the screen.
